The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Richland Operations Office (RL) and the Office of River Protection (ORP) have released the 2019 Hanford Lifecycle Scope, Schedule and Cost Report (Lifecycle Report). The Lifecycle Report is a milestone requirement (M-036-01) under the Hanford Federal Facility Agreement and Consent Order, also known as the Tri-Party Agreement (TPA). The Lifecycle Report reflects the cleanup work that must be completed by both of the DOE Environmental Management Project offices (RL and ORP) under the TPA and other environmental obligations.
The Lifecycle Report serves as a foundation for preparing federal budget requests and for informational briefings to affected Tribal Governments and Hanford stakeholders. The report shall also serve as the basis for discussions with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology).
The 2019 Lifecycle Report is available at https://go.usa.gov/xENz8. The Lifecycle Report information reflects scope, schedule and cost status that is current as of August 31, 2018, and the costs shown have been escalated for inflation by DOE.
DOE will collect public feedback on the report. All feedback on the report needs to be submitted in writing by April 15, 2019.
